Best practices to adopt for paragliding
A responsible and respectful attitude should be adopted.
Respect for private property
- Most of the areas frequented are private properties, often farmed by farmers. Trespassing is a criminal offense.
- Consider that you are in a place that is both a workplace and a living space. Adopt a respectful attitude. Not every field is a godsend.
Preservation of crops and livestock
In order to limit the impacts on agricultural activities and animal welfare:
- Prepare your flight, find out in advance about accessible areas and any restrictions
- Maintain a sufficient altitude to avoid disturbing the herds.
- Learn about the crop cycle: certain stages are crucial for their development and harvest.
- Avoid cultivated fields, meadows currently being farmed, and sensitive areas.
- In case of an emergency landing, minimize trampling and fold your glider away from agricultural areas.
Responsible parking
To ensure safety and harmonious coexistence:
- Park your vehicle only in designated areas.
- Do not obstruct access to farms, roads or dwellings.
Respectful behavior
Exemplary behavior promotes lasting coexistence:
- Show respect and courtesy in all circumstances.
- Remain discreet and avoid causing any disturbance.
- Leave no waste behind: in addition to polluting, it poses a danger to livestock.
- If you encounter any of the residents and business owners, prioritize dialogue.
Adherence to these rules is essential to maintain good relations with farmers and ensure the sustainability of practice sites.
